Since you would use your SP-01C for IDPA and CCW if you got it Cajunized I would say so that. Then it would be totally awesome for both purposes.

I think that's going to be the way I go. I've hated every striker gun I've ever owned . I just emailed them to see which package they suggest.

No need to pass up on Cajun goodness to try and start now. Plus... You can always get a P10c later once this is completed.

Can someone please verify the barrel diam. on their 99021.  I was going to order a CGW bushing but on their site they have a note on the 7510xhc that its for all SP-O1's and also the 99021.  That is the same bushing as the 7510X only hard chromed.  The 7510x is listed as for heavy .550" OD and my 99021 does not have a heavy barrel.  It's .503 and appears to be identical to the barrel in my p-01 omega.  I'm hoping that its a miss print on cgw description for the 7510xhc or else I didn't get a 99021....  The box label ends in 99021 and the serial # on the label, test print, frame and barrel all match.

Where am I going wrong here??

Mine do not have a heavy barrel. Maybe David has some hard chrome versions for these 99021 pistols, but call and check if that is what you're looking for. Otherwise get the bushing for the standard size barrel.

Just out of curiosity, what is the ID of the bushing that's presently in the slide? I measured the bushing ID, and the barrel OD in mine and the difference was .003, when it was at CGW for some work I asked about putting a bushing in, and David told me that mine actually had a pretty decent barrel/bushing fit, and I probably would'nt gain anything with their bushing, his advice was to shoot it until the groups opened up and then put the bushing in.. If your bushing is .003-4 bigger than the barrel, I don't think I'd bother putting a bushing in for awhile.. On the flip side if  the bushing is say,  .005 or more larger than the barrel, yeah, I'd go for the bushing..

I didn't even measure it.  With the slide in a vice I could wiggle the barrel like an old Atari joystick.  It's worse than my TS when it was new and if I remember correctly it was something like .007-.013. I thought I had wasted a lot of money but a new bushing saved me from some serious buyers remorse on that deal.  The test pattern dispersion on this compact was 108 and after shooting about 300 rounds I think that may have just been luck.  I seem to get the ones that went thru final assembly and fitment on a Friday late afternoon...  Its nothing a little Cajun spice hasn't been able to fix.

These are a pleasure aren't they! A friend asked me to go shooting with him, his father-in-law, and uncle-in-law this last weekend. When we set up I told them that they needed to dry fire my second SP-01 Compact because it has a very light trigger and is meant to compete with custom 1911's. Of course they were immediately drawn to it and that was their favorite pistol of the day.

First time I got to shoot mine after adjusting the over travel set screw and it just made things that much better, officially more fun than a barrel of monkeys

SP-01 Compact Holster Maker!!!!!

I know... this thread probably needed to be laid to rest, but we have a holster maker here on the forum that has an SP-01 Compact. He made me a pretty awesome holster for my two, and he should be able to make any of his holsters for the SP-01 Compact (at least thats my impression, if you ask nicely). He also has a Rami... Anyways, here's my little post on mine. Hopefully this helps some of you with more holster options.

Question for the experts
Due to this thread: http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=93231.msg711468#msg711468
The P01 gives me hammer bite.
I have the option to trade my Cajun P01 to someone locally for a SP01C and Glock 43 with 5 mags. I would flip the 43 or my current Glock 26 and pickup cajun parts.

Question is would I be stupid?
Do P01 mags fit in the SP01C?

The CZ Custom Competition Hammer will not give you hammer bite in this pistol. You can order a low Competition Hammer if you'd like. The CGW Race hammer may bite you... Probably not though. One of mine has the race hammer and it does hit the beavertail in recoil, but even with your beefy grip I don't think it would bite you.

These are heavy pistols. Think Shadow 2 Compact. I've carried mine, you just have to be OK with it and know what you're  getting. You can always get another P-01 and put the CZC Competition hammer in it to eliminate hammer bite. But there's only 1,400 of these floating around and they aren't supposed to make them again.

If you're OK with getting the SP-01 Compact I'd say go for it! Depending on how much you put into the P-01 you're at least reading even and maybe up depending on the wear on the SP-01 Compact and G43.
