« on: November 11, 2016, 06:51:16 PM »
Has anyone put the Mec-gar  + 2 extension for P07 on their Factory mags and how do they work for you.

If those are the ones that came with my P-07 and they do look like it, they work great.

I don't think they come with a gun unless you bought it used and somebody else did it

Can you fit 16 or 17 rounds comfortably in that Mag with the extension

They did come with new P-07's in the last year. They work fine. I've used them on my P-07 Duty and P-09. They add 2 rnds capacity as claimed. The match the 07 frame perfectly, 09 frame is slightly thicker front to rear, just enough to be noticeable. CZUSA had them on sale for $4.99 per pack of two (IIRC).

The P-07 in .40S&W I recently put on lay-away at Fin Feather & Fur did not have the extensions. Brand new - watched them break the seal on the case so the paperwork could be done for the lay-away. Oh well - if I can't get the job done with the two mags of 12 rounds of .40 I really shouldn't be there . . .

I put them on all my P07 (.40 S&W) magazines.  They "work" great.  However, I don't like the way they carry.  That extra added little bit of length digs at my under arm in the AM3 holster.  I don't notice it in the IWB holster but I'm not really trying to conceal (yet) in that one.  It's just used for carry around the yard/garage with a t-shirt sometimes covering the grip.

They fit the CZ 75 magazines, too.  But, you can't use a 16 round magazine in a full sized gun as the plastic lip on the base is a little too thick to allow the magazine to lock in.  The do, however, work in a compact sized pistol (gives you 18 rounds) if you don't mind the little gap between the base and the bottom of the grip.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I like them for the extra grip length, w/o them my pinky hangs off. For iwb carry, I don't notice them at all. In fact, they conceal better than the oem mag bases on my P-06. I tried the P-07 extensions on a 75 mag and they were too wide to grab the lip on the bottom of the mag.Not sure why it didn't work for me , it's been a while since I tried them and I like the rubber p-01 bases on my 75 mags anyway.

I run them on my P07s and P09s.  I like having 17+1 rounds of .40 on the nightstand at night.  They've functioned flawlessly for me and a 21+1 round P09 is fun to shoot.  You just don't ever seem to run out of ammo, but it does tend to shorten range trips when you burn through a box of 9mm in just over two reloads.  For my P07s, they fit perfectly and only add a bit of length to the frame.  14+1 rounds of .40 in a semi-compact pistol is a very nice winter carry gun.

I have these on my P-07. I accidentally dropped a fully loaded mag(carpeted floor) a few days ago. All but two rounds came out. At first I thought the base came off, but it didn't. The follower stayed at the bottom of the mag and allowed it to unload. When I picked it up, I whacked it on my hand and it dislodged. I guess maybe I need to buy stronger mag springs. They've always fed fine so I figured they were good as is. Maybe it was just a fluke, not sure.

I personally prefer the CZ +2 base pads... they are what came stock on my UG P-07s and I liked them so well that I ordered them for all of my mags. They are cheaper than the Mec-gars and they feel absolutely seamless with the grip - so much so that I have been unable to date to talk myself into buying a P-09!
