should I RAMI?
« on: November 27, 2016, 07:17:55 PM »
My most carried SD gun is Beretta's PX4sc, 3 inch double stack 13+1 9mm.  Love it.  Shoots like a full size gun yet barrel is short enough so as not to protrude below a dress sweater or draped casual shirt caried OWB.  My PCR seems to be a wee bit long OWB concealed for some of my popular clothing worn on the job.

Don't get wrong, the PCR is a keeper as well as the Matte Stainless.  Really have the hots to add a standard steel frame compact to the collection, but now waffling toward something CZ that would ride with me more often.  The RAMI seems to be calling me.  Hmmmm should I?  I could just keep carrying the Beretta and pick up that hot compact (I like it's slide as an option for the Matte ala semi compact).  What do do?

You can never have too many CZs. If you can actually find a RAMI, you should buy it.

I was just telling someone that it took me 3.5 yrs to finally DECIDE that I absolutely had to have the Rami after lusting over and flirting with it all this time.  Mind you, I bought 12 other guns in that time.  Everytime I pick it up I'm tempted to kick myself for waiting so long.  I love this gun.

Well, not a big fan of tritium sites, so nixing the BD.  I'm not much recoil shy, so considering the .40S&W version, but like the idea of using my existing mags.  Are the full size 9mm mags compatible with .40?  I know at one of my after market Mecgar mags has .40 and 9mm printed on them, just not sure if it was of CZ or other platform...

You guys ARE enablers.  For some reason I dont think the RAMI and PCR will totally squash my desire for a regular compact, or vice versa either!

I have a Rami BD in 9mm. If you can find one, don't pass it up because of the sights.

It is a handy feature to have, since I am the area CZ demo rep.

You know. . . the PCR's (Compact D) slide is growing on me despite the front slide serrations and CLI.  Why should I care if my "Semi-compact" creation by mix & match has a "D" on the slide when this creation (Matte Stainless frame) is clearly the safety version!

Therefore the standard compact falls off of the WANT LIST in favor of the RAMI.

My LGS has the 9mm safety version in stock so I just put a hold on it for pick up tomorrow.  They listed it for >$600 bucks, but agreed to sell it to me for $580 after I advised them of the J&G price currently advertised.  Close enough considering no shipping, transfer fee and the chance to look it over carefully before turning over my cash.  I have no idea how long it has been sitting on their shelf.  Even though CZs can be hard to come by, they are still a best kept secret to most!
