I've fed my Kadet just about every quality SV ammo, CCI, Geco Rifle, SK Std, and they all run fine.
I had the right to remain silent...

but not the ability.

I've found the best results have come from copper plated MiniMags. The worst was with Thunderbolts, it leaded the barrel after about 50-100 rounds, which resulted in tumblers.

Does the CCI Mini-Mag 22 Long Rifle Ammo 36 Grain Plated Lead Hollow Point, or
CCI 22 CB Short Ammo 29 Grain Lead Round Nosework well in the kadet? Help is appreciated. Thabks

The Mini-mags should be fine. I'm thinking the shorts might not cycle the action, but I've never tried them.

I've always used SV ammo, with good success, in my Kadet II.

SV= standard velocity  which is around 1100 feet per second, I think.

I have a Kadet 2 on a 75B frame.  I shot mostly Mini Mags in the begining but have switched to the plated Aguila Super Extras.  They have a touch more velocity than Mini Mags, shoot accurately
and cost less than the CCI's.  In several thousand rounds I've had zero failures.

I have tried them. They don't feed and don't cycle. Have to load them one by one.
For new Kadet CCI mini-mags are great. Well broken in Kadet works perfect with many SV (1030-1080fps) ammo. SK Stdn+ and Norma TAC 22 are my favorite, but many others are good too.

Thanks for providing a better definition of Standard Velocity.  I knew it was between 1000 and 1100 but I didn't recall the exact numbers.  Norma Tac 22 is my choice for the Kadet at 25 yards, and Norma Match for 50 yards and has been for many years.  Just don't let either Norma round get cold in the winter, as the SV becomes LV below 40F.

I have my Kadet set up on a model 75C host, with the mags set up with the compact bases so they are flush fit. I typically shoot Federal Automatch or CCI Blazer - both of which work great for me.

I have also used the Federal Automatch in the winter on a cold day, when the Norma Tac 22 would not cycle the gun.  Had good results with it.
