Is the CZ 75 D PCR Compact the same as the CZ 75 D Compact?

Nope.  Alloy framed with decocker versus steel framed  with safety.

If it's a "D" then it's a decocker.   PCR's are commonly labeled 75 D compact with no PCR label.   The 75 compact would be the safety version.

.   Here is a 75 D Compact.   Aka PCR.  But wait...isn't that a 75 D compact aka known as a P-01 next to it?  It can be very confusing so make sure you know what you're getting.  CZ has issues with labeling pistols.  Too many overlaps.

CZ 75 D or P01? Yes
http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=27902.0
All of the above!  Jk.  I can't read the print on the descriptions.  Getting old I guess.  A 75 D could be a PCR, P-01, or a rare decocker steel frame version much like a SP-01 compact.

Yeah, this unfortunately.  Although I've never seen a "D" (de-cocker) with a steel frame.  Does that really exist?

I'm not sure if it was limited production or a custom build but I have seen one.  There are a few other variations of Compacts that are more common but still unusual and just as confusing on the labels.  I've been able to collect almost all of the variants but there are a few unicorns that pop up from time to time.

Yes, the steel frame "PCR" did exist, it was called a CZ 75D then as well.....stopped production in the late 90's....the one I had was a 1999 stamp date on the slide.......only issue I had with it was the sear cage was proprietary to that time frame of production, couldn't easily modify it with modern parts to do upgrades. Don't have it anymore, but it was the steel frame "PCR" for its time.   ;)

This one is 1999 dated with the CZ 75 D Compact mark on the slide. Note the distinguishing heavy beaver tail of the steel frames. I have seen one with what appears to be an 02 year stamp and within the range of serial numbers for the period. Definitely no longer in current production.

I have run across one like Psyops with the stainless trigger and the snag free sights and one with a black trigger and standard sights. Both have a manufacture date of 1999. Both in good condition. Have considered buying both but am not sure of their value.

Nice. :) I saw one way back in the day when I worked at a gun shop, and wondered where I could find one when I had money...but alas, that was not to be. There is also an Israeli rework Compact steel frame with decocker, more traditional than that one, (looks like a Tanfoglio lever almost), but it's another one I can't find when I have $ to spend.
