TA 90 questions
« on: May 08, 2006, 03:09:34 PM »
I recently bought a TA-90 in matte chrome finish and I notice there are no import marks on the gun.  It was made in 1990 and I know Excam went out of business in 1989. Is this normal. Also if anyone knows how to keep that pin in that holds the sear assembly in. I dont know the name of that pin but its the one that goes thru the gun in the rear? It sometimes works part way out when shooting. Should I crimp it a little on the end with some pliers? thanks for any reply

Although Excam officially went under in 1989, your Pistol may still have been one of theirs as they did try, unsuccessfully, to re-organize.

As for the Roll Pin that holds in the Sear, measure the hole for it, with the blunt end of a drill, and get another Roll Pin, that size and put it in, with the appropriate sized Roll Pin Punch. You can also use regular Pins of the appropriate size.

A well stocked hardware store will have Pins and Roll Pins.
