New 9mm Witness Elite Limited

Hi,  First post for me, but have been checking out previous threads on the Witness pistols here and on other forums and have been very impressed.  I've been looking for a new 1911 steel frame 9mm for quite a while but was so impressed with the reviews and comments from you guy's on the EAA Witness EL that I ordered one this morning.  Sorry to say though.... they are on back order and I'll have to wait 4-6 weeks to get mine.
I was wondering if and of you have mounted a red dot on any of pistols since they're already drilled and tapped for a mount?  Also, what kind?  Did you use a Witness mount or another brand, ie. C-More etc.?
Look forward to hearing from you.

I looked at the mount situation and from what I gather there is not a good choice out there from the factory.  You have to remove the sights with one mount design and another uses only large tube optics.  My understanding is that Eric Grauffel uses one he makes.  You might want to post on his forum and see if he will respond with further information.

Grayrider, I noticed the Doctor Sight offers a base for the CZ75, but don't know if it's for the early or late dovetail. Have you heard anything?

Hi and thanks for the reply Grayrider.
I have some concerns about the 9mm Witness Elite Limited I ordered after reading Duffyo1's post regarding the condition in which he recieved his two new Witness Limited pistols (dents on the rai; and scratches on the finish).

If EAA's response is "your just being picky" with no apology or concern/desire to get it (the gun) back and corredt the problem.....then I don't think I want any part of them, their guns or anything else.  Maybe $850 for a gun, extra mag, taxes, etc. isant much to some people, but it's too much for me to spend on a gun that is a piece of sh..@#%$.
I would like to here from more of you out there about your experience with EAA and their products.  I know Grayrider from reading your many posts your very high on the Witness line, but I'm curious what you would suggest Duffy do and why.
Since I'm on a waiting list and can cancel my order without being out anything I would really like to hear from you guy's.  It's a shame about this situation because the reviews and specs on the Limited are very impressive.
Thanks,
Jim
