Fired from fixed location like Ransom Rest or sandbags? Also have someone else shoot it and see if the same.
When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

It's been a while since I looked, but they sell different height sights. You may have a mismatched pair. You would have to drive the sights out and check the bottom, they will have a number on the. Kinda sounds like you have a shorter rear sight and a taller front. Or vice versa. Like I said, it's been a while since I checked into that. What I did was put a fiber optic front on mine. I had to file it down to get it to fit. My him used to be dead on but I couldn't see it and now it shoots a little low. It's been about 2 years since I've shot it due to the seat spring. I've been dreading taking it back apart to replace it. I need to replace the ejecter and seat spring.  Love the gun but it is a pain to rebuild.

If you haven't tested it from a good rest and/or had a friend try it out do so before you change anything. My '83 is spot on but I had a 1911 with fixed sights which did the same thing as yours and eventually I had to change the sights. If you like the front sight on yours (the green flourescent dot works  good for me) consider getting an adjustable rear sight to make sure you get it exactly where you want. If I recall correctly, CZ 75 rear sights will work on the 83, so you should have plenty of choices without having to mill the slide.
