Photo I took of my SP-01
« on: March 20, 2017, 10:25:00 PM »
Had an hour to kill today so I took some photo of my new SP-01.

I'm a photographer but this is not the type of stuff I ever shoot. I shoot people for hire. Mostly actor and business head shots. I don't do product photography like this ever.

Have to play around with the lighting a little more. Wish the front end had just a tad more detail in the shadows.

Thought I'd share with you all.

What are you using for lighting? You could try using a reflector or a piece of white foamcore board to add a little fill light to the shadows.

Gridded strip box as my key light. Gold reflector for fill.

This is my typical work.

Here's a few I took.  Just bouncing flash off of ceiling using a black velvet background.

Great shots. Would make great Wallpapers if available in high resolution *wink wink nudge nudge *

Since the shadow area at the muzzle is black pistol / black background, you might need to either go with a silver reflector or just bring the reflector in a bit closer to get the fill. I tend to use multiple lights instead of reflectors.

Could you take pictures of the lighting that you guys use? Just so I can get an idea of placement? I want my pistol pictures to look nice and I struggle with lighting angles.
