Sarsmilaz (SAR) Fans!
« on: March 22, 2017, 10:31:21 PM »
This outfit looks like a new importer for at least some SAR firearms, including the new CM9 Gen 2 (update of the SAR K2P in 9mm).  If you've read my posts, I'm a big fan of the SAR K2 in .45 and the SAR K2P in 9mm.  This site lists several cool SAR products, including a US version of the Kilinic 2000 (Sold as Mega Pistol, apparently) and the SAR REVOLVER .38/.357...that I haven't yet seen in the US!  Anyway, here it is in case you want to encourage them to bring in more SAR products etc!

I'll have to keep them in mind if it pans out that EAA is no longer carrying the B6P. It still shows up in their catalog, but it is getting increasingly harder to find. I don't need one at the moment, but I have had a lot of people ask me to suggest a good, inexpensive handgun, and that was my go-to-gun. I guess the CM9 is an OK pistol, and it is a plus that it is ambi-safety, but it looks more like a Smith than a CZ. The grip at the web between thump and index finger looks more angular. I have to wonder if it will comfortably fit as wide a range of hand sizes as the B6P

This is great. I'm interested to hear reviews on the revolver.

Other than the lack of the forward slide serrations, it does.  It looks to be identical to the SAR B6 Hawk.  Hope it doesn't have the reversed safety of the hawk though.

The Hawk and Mega b6 have steel frames vs the b6p having polymer frames. I really enjoy my all steel b6 Hawk. Those on special price are polymer b6p pistols which are still great pistols.

Don't be so sure about that  :)

My Hawk-PP (polymer pistol), what would eventually be rebranded the K2P; except for the Made in Turkey stamp there are no other markings on the grips.

Never new they called early k2p's Hawk. Mine has no Hawk name on it. It does seem they utilize a p or two in the name to designate a polymer frame gun. Thanks!

Yeah, I didn't know about the K2p being the HawkPP before either.  Interesting.  EAA should really try confusing everyone by importing the new CM9 gen 2 as the Hawk PP2 or something, lol.

You can try contacting TR Imports directly, but they weren't much help in helping me find where the revolver might be being sold!  That's the ONE I was mostly interested in as well.  Hopefully, they start filtering out.

Does anyone know if the Mega has the same backwards safety as the B6 hawk?  I'd probably pick one up even if did if the price is right, but just curious.

The catalog was no help so I turned to Youtube. I'm going to say Yes based on this comparison between a Mega and CZ 75B : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHP1VaFalqc

If anyone is interested here's the 2017 Sarsilmaz Catalog .pdf, try not to drool on your keyboards cause you won't see most of these in the US: http://www.sarsilmaz.com/en/images/katalog/sarsilmaz_product_catalogue.pdf

I hadn't seen that video, cool thanks.  It does appear to be the same as the B6 Hawk.  I still may try to get one if they are at a good price.
