new C100 trip to range
« on: March 24, 2017, 09:01:13 PM »
WOW. This thing is sweet. I own many pistols of different type and I would put this pistol right up there with any of them. My first trip to the range and the single action trigger pull, the recoil/return to POA is excellent. I am really surprised. For the price, this pistol is a very good deal. Shoots low but with a tight group. That can be corrected. I have already installed the CGW springs and trigger pin. I think it will go into carry rotation with my Kimber and Glock. I definitely like it better than my Glock 17.

I love shooting mine too. I replaced the rear sight with a CZ 75 #4 height. It is pretty close to point-of aim now.

Will this sight work on a C100 Tri Star?  ......  https://www.amazon.com/HIVIZ-CZLW01-Interchangeable-LITEWAVE-Handgun/dp/B00QM4KIHS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1490462426&sr=8-1&keywords=cz+sight   If yes do the rear sights also have to be changed?

I can't say for sure, but I read somewhere that the C100 and CZ75 takes the same sights. I have purchase a CZ #5 for mine. Hope this corrects the low shooting issue. Update- I removed my rear sight today. took some measurements just incase someone needed them. Bottom of sight to top of notch=0.2975". Bottom of sight to bottom of notch=0.2190" dovetail thickness=tapers from left to right 0.3820" to 0.3800".

Love this gun. I have 3 of them, 2 9mms and a .40. The 9s are my everyday CCW. The weight is less than a ounce more than a Glock 19. The longer I own them and the more I shoot them, the more impressed I am. These C100s are an excellent value. I have probably 3000 - 3500 rounds through one of them and never had a hiccup. I have tried to make it fail, mixing all kinds of ammo (defensive, ball, steel, brass, different weights, different brands) all in the same mag, it eats it all and asks for more of the same.

I own/owned Glocks and Sigs and S&Ws and Rugers, and a CZ75 Compact, nothing wrong with them, but...I feel 100% confidence in carrying the C100. The quality you get for your money with this pistol is exceptional.

Shot 150 rounds thru mine this week along with 150 rounds thru my p-120. Both are great and never an issue with either..

I don't remember just how much but it was probably over 4" for my C100 and S120. They both are pretty spot on now.

My C100 is an early 2016 and I had to do a little sanding on the base of the CZ sight to fit it.

On a side note; I suspect the 2016 has a shallower position of the dovetail joint. My theory is this improved the POI (from earlier models) but mine still needed a higher rear sight.
