Combat with non adjustable sights
« on: April 04, 2017, 08:30:18 AM »
I have been a member here for quite a while, but my first post.  I am trading for what is supposed to be a CZ85 Combat today, but it clearly has fixed sights.  I asked and he said it came that way.  It has the box and both mags.  Were there any with fixed sights?
I remember when "Common Sense" was common.  I must really be old!

The early Combats had a very different style sight, but it was adjustable. They are also unobtainable at this point, so if it has one be gentle with it.

I've never heard of one without an adjustable rear. What year was this pistol manufactured/

but not the ability.

It might be a Pre-B transitional. Those would be functionally identical to a Combat (having no FPB), but would have shipped with a fixed sight.

Otherwise, Dawson Precision makes/made a fixed sight for the Combat, but that would never have been a factory option.

I'll make the trade either way, just thought it was interesting that it has a fixed sight.  Maybe it is the transitional model.  Thanks for the input.

Will it say "Combat" on the firearm?

A transitional will not say "Combat". That verbiage did not come about til after the transition to B-type CZ 85's.

That must be what it is.  If the trade happens, I'll let you know.  He is not too talkative, LOL

He's not talking any more. Guess the trade has gone south. Oh well.
