tacticool, free floated?
« on: April 10, 2017, 05:10:16 PM »
I am looking for a CZ 455 Tacticool .22lr to add to my 455 collection. My LGS hasn't been able to find me one yet. Anyone know a distributor that has them? Also, can't find anywhere that says whether or not the barrel is free floated, any one know?

I have a Tacticool and it is not bedded nor would I say that it's completely free floated.  The one I got is crazy accurate and I cannot justify bedding it.

It's not free floated as far as I can tell as it has a post on the hand guard that is attached by a screw that the barrel rests on. But it's a great shooting rifle and an economical way to shoot a "tactical" rifle. Get the 25 round banana mag and put a red dot sight of sorts and it's a blast to shoot.
Edit: was confusing the Tactical  (512 semi-auto has the post) with the Tacticool.

I just got one and ran the dollar bill up and down between the barrel and the stock and it is free floated. I haven't shot it yet just need to fin the time to buy a Scope and get it mounted and hopefully as accurate as the others that posted on this thread.
