Scope rings on a 455 American for a 44mm objective?
« on: April 14, 2017, 12:13:37 AM »
I recently purchased  A 455  American 16.5 inch suppressor ready. I have a 30mm vortex viper  6.5 x 20 x 44 scope. I was thinking of using the Dip  Rail but I'm not really sure that I need it. i think I'm  going to go on and just mount the scope to the dovetail so I can get out to the range and shoot. My question is what rings do I need for proper bolt  clearance  and proper height above the bore.  I would rather get this right the first time instead of ordering the wrong set of rings and having to send them back. Thanks and advance.

Thanks. I let a friend of mine get me in a rush so I went on and ordered some talley rings today. Truth be told I had it in mind to use a dip 25moa rail and warne rings. Oh well I guess I can always add that later.
