Shepherd Optics red dots - anyone buy/try one yet?
« on: April 23, 2017, 08:10:02 PM »
Ran across these a little bit ago while surfing for something else.  Anyone tried one out yet.  The small one looks about like an RMR or similar handgun type red dot.  8,000 hr. battery life, turns off in 2 hrs., automatic brightness control and only $160.  That's why I'm curious about them.  A few years ago the Shepherd scopes seemed to be pretty popular for long range rifle shooters/hunters, but I have no idea about the red dots.  They make a couple larger ones, too.  One about like an Eotech and the other about the size of the older aimpoints.

I stopped carrying the SIG 556R.  SIG changed models and couple/three times and stopped supporting it with parts.  So, I stopped supporting SIG.  Back to the tried/true AR15 Carbine.
