PMM rear sling mount durability
« on: April 24, 2017, 05:06:02 PM »
My PMM rear sling mount arrived today. The quality looks great.

http://www.parkermountainmachine.com/store/p100/CZ_Scorpion_EVO_3_S1_Rear__QD__Sling_Mount.html

I plan on running and gunning under the clock with my Scorpion Carbine and my club requires a single point sling where the muzzle points straight down, so I should be good to go.

What concerns me is the small diameter of the screw. Will it hold up and has anyone had one break?

Thanks

110% reliable. Carried my scorpion for many miles already and the QD mounts are still as secure as day 1.

Thank you. I sent the same question directly to PMM. If they reply differently I'll post.

Tuesday may be my lucky day if my Scorpion arrives at my dealer in time. I am SO pumped.

The durability of the housing it bolts through would be the limiting factor.  The mount is solid and tight.  I was impressed with it when it came.

Got a reply from Jarod at PMM

"that small M3 bolt has a single sheer load of 700 lbs it will be fine.you will break the plastic tang off the gun prior to the bolt or mount failing."

I am good to go!
