Cz 75 pre b
« on: May 04, 2017, 04:08:19 PM »
Names Nick.  Happend to get a 75 pre b and have run into some issues. Was hoping to get some help. I will post pictures and try to explain as much as I can as to what problem I am having.when I first got the pistol the guy I got it from installed parts from CGW himself and didn't know what the heck he was doing. My first two shots through the pistol ( everything seemed to function properly when I recieved it) the pistol seized up and I had to tap the back of the slide with a rubber mallet to get it apart. I took it apart and there was a nice bur inside the slide that I was able to file off and it seemed to fix that problem. The sear cage and safety were taken out, taken apart, put back together and put back on the pistol. When I put the slide back on it doesn't let me chamber. E safety doesn't seem to be correct either. Pics to follow

Nick,

I can't speak directly to what is going on with your pre B 75, and I'm a relatively new 75 SP-01 owner that has heavily upgraded my gun with CGW parts and kits without any issues.

There are other members that have a lot more experience (and more 75's, 85's, etc.) than me, but there is one member, Scarlett Pistol that posted some excellent 'how to' vids on rebuilding the 75's, if it wasn't for his sear cage rebuild video, I would never have been able to get it back together. If you decide to delve into the sear, I believe the pre B's don't have he firing pin block which means no lifter (or teeny tiny spring) to deal with. For what it's worth, the decocker models are even more complex.

Here is a link to his vids. http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=85985.0

Good luck.
