I am planning on sending a 1988 CZ 85 Pre-B to CGW for a complete overhaul sometime later this year. I am planning on having the staked front sight removed and a transverse dovetail cut into the slide for an upgraded front sight.
I am also considering a CGW 10X bushing to be installed as well. I was thinking that theoretically, this should work by removing the stock front sight/bushing, installing the upgraded bushing, and then machining the new front sight dovetail (bushing to be retained by the sight when pressed into the dovetail).
However, looking at another post on the forum, I found out that the bushing for Pre-B's is a threaded assembly, and not a press-fit bushing like the newer guns. Is it still possible to install a 10X bushing on a Pre-B with this threaded bushing, or am I stuck with the stock bushing?
