American stock on trainer
« on: May 08, 2017, 09:55:50 PM »
First post on the site. I just bought a trainer to teach my son. I wanted it because I want him to learn on iron sights.

He's having a hard time getting a cheek weld, and I'm considering swapping out the stock. If I found a used American stock, would it fit on a trainer?

I'm open to other walnut stock ideas as well.

On the 452 action screws are different, and the stock won't be inletted for the barrel lug, or the rear sight of the Trainer.

It could be done if you fix the inletting for the sight and only use one action screw. The rear action screw hole can either be plugged or you can use a screw and nut.

On a 455 it's a drop in.

How about a cheek riser?

I thought about a riser as a temp fix.
