So a purebred  , how does the red dot work...is it a plus at longer/shorter distances or both?

Its a plus at 13-15 yards and beyond for accuracy and getting shot off quickly - distances you'd start to really bear down on the front/rear sight.
Inside that its not really faster than iron sights, and in fact could be slower if you don't practice with the optic.

Here is my Kadet.  Pardon mine.  It's an odd ball made out mostly of plastic with some cajun spices.

Have you had any issues with the kit for the P09? I am debating on ordering one for mine but I wanna be sure I have a good chance of being issue free.

So far so good.  The first shot threw me by surprise because for some reason I was expecting the recoil of the 9mm.
