Refinish on Evolution stock?
« on: May 11, 2017, 06:57:43 PM »
So...I'm thinking about picking up a 455 Varmint Evolution and found the pink version $100 cheaper than the coyote version. Any way to refinish or color this stock - fairly easily? Not that I'm against pink, two daughters have taught me to embrace it over the years....

I think the only way to change the color would be to paint the stock.
I had the right to remain silent...

but not the ability.

While searching, I've seen a lot of talk about using RIT dye to change the color of stocks. No experience myself, but may be worth investigating.
Came across one site that re paints stocks, think started out at $125.
JMO, spend the extra money to get what you want. If not, may cost you a lot more in the long run. Good luck with your endeavor.

Thanks for the responses. Think I'll hold out for a while but at sub-400 it's hard not to grab one.
