P10C guide rod assembly and installation

So what is the stock spring rate from CZ ?  I have to know which spring rate to get .

I cut down a G17 3rd gen uncaptured tungsten guide rod and used a Glock 19 18# recoil spring.  It feels lighter than the oem CZ spring though.  If I had to guess, the P-10 has a 20# recoil spring.  Ejection with the 18# spring was solid at 4 o'clock with my 147gn ammo so I'll probably leave it.








Both my black and fde P-10s have the half moon cutout on the barrel but it is pretty small.



The factory guide rod is nearly identical to the Glock gen3.

I'm looking on Amazon for a gen 3 Glock 17 guide rod but I see is a few manufacturers... Galloway, NDZ.... most selling what looks like captured setups. What exactly will work?

Has anyone confirmed/ responded to this question yet? I just got it last night; I saw it too, but I forgot to note where was the rod sit on; on that little half moon?

The little half moon.  The half moon is only there to help you align it for assembly.  Once assembled, the guide rod actually rests on a flat spot on the frame.

I put my Glock 17 Gen 3 spring assembly and put it on my CZ P-10C.  It fits but when you rack the slide it sticks out about .25 inches in the front.

So far the only two things I don't like about the CZ P-10C is the poor design of the spring assembly and the very small half moon on the barrel.  Not much meat there for the spring assembly to push on to like on the Glock or a Sig P320.

I just don't care for the design on the CZ.  Glock 17, Ruger Amercian, Sig P320 all have a beefier stop when inserting the recoil spring.  Still love the my CZ though.

Where the Glock 17 is just a bit longer than the CZ P-10C recoil assembly...the steel recoil assembly out of a Ruger American is the same size.  Works great!

I don't know what you guys are doing right that I'm doing wrong, but my aftermarket guide rods from both G17 & G19 won't allow
me to lock back the slide.

What brand of guide rod?  How far from locked is your slide travelling?  If the guide rod base is too large for the tunnel, it wont seat against the surface marked by the green arrow.  If it's not centered it can also be hanging on the edges marked with red arrows.  Also, what spring?  If the spring has too many coils, it may be reaching full compression before the slide has moved back far enough.
