I finally received my P10C. My initial impressions. :)
« on: June 08, 2017, 12:12:55 PM »
I finally received my P10C yesterday.  My pistol was ordered via CZ's MIL/LE program.  The order was accepted on Jan 23,2017 and was shipped on June 3, 2017.  Here my initial impressions.

*  Pistol felt solid and nice in the hand.  The slide serrations were just right.  The frame texturing looked clean and reminded me of 20 LPI checkering on a 1911.  The texturing is fine for me since my hands are caused up quite a bit.

*  Sights are indeed aluminum.  Interesting that a #2 front sight was used.  I initially figured that they would use the #3 sight from the P07/09.

*  Trigger's take up was a bit gritty at first, but after approx 400 presses, it cleaned up nicely.  5 lbs atm.  Reset is very nice for stock.

*  Passes the plunk test with Hornady Critical Duty 135 gr +P and Underwood Ammo's 147 gr XTP +P.  My CZ P07, P09, and SP 01 doesn't.

*  Mag release is a bit stiff.  I ended up using Earl An's video for tending to the mag release.  (Thanks !!)  Currently it feels better.

*  Slide stop / release was stiff, but not impossible to thumb down on both sides.

I'll be hitting the range tomorrow and see how she handles with a variety of loads I set aside.

Is that a David Bowie stipple on the Glock 17?

Nope.  I did the work myself.  I chopped the grip to work with G19 mags for better concealment.  I use 17 rounders as spares.

Thanks !!

Gonna run it tomorrow.  I had to dust off a full case of S&B 124 gr for tomorrows practice/break in session.   :D

Stipple job looks clean. You currently a P30 long slide?

Thanks for the kind comment on my G17.  That's my Godzilla skin pattern.  The grip is also reduced around its circumference.

Yes, my P30LS v3 is my concealed pistol I carry.  Accurate, reliable and fits my hand great.

Read your post congrats on your P-10, anyway, looked at mine (a fde pistol) and it does have the #3 front sight. Does CZ adjust the elevation at the factory via different front sight heights?  Anybody know?

Interesting that a #2 front sight was used.  I initially figured that they would use the #3 sight from the P07/09.

That is interesting... mine has a #3.

Here is a pic of my #2 front sight on my P10C.  I wonder if they ran out of #3 sights ???

I just got back from the range (0600 to 1308 hrs).  I fired 1000 rounds with ZERO malfunctions.  I fired: Sellier & Bellot 124 gr FMJ, Hirtenberger FL +P+ 100 gr, Cor-Bon 115 gr JHP +P, and Winchester 115 FMJ.  The farthest I shot today was 15 yards and POA and POI was dead on for elevation, I did have to drift the rear sight 1mm to the right for windage adjustment.

The trigger crunchiness disappeared, some minor creep is still present though.  The mag release and slide stop were stiff originally, but now works as it should.  Overall, I'm impressed.
