P-10c going back to CZ-USA

I've been having a minor problem with my P-10, One of the coil pins in the top rear of the frame keeps walking out, the pin that's walking out  is the one closest to the mag well. I called CZ-USA, and they sent me a link from their warranty page on their website I filled that out and I was told when talking to them on the phone that they'll send me a Fed- Ex label and all I have to do is box it up and send it off. They told me they want to take a look at it and see why the pin keeps walking out. I'm hoping this dosen't take too long... Other than this, I've been having a blast with it.

CZ's reputation regarding customer service is in good shape.  I wouldn't be worried about them keeping your 10c for an extended period of time (months).  For pistol warranty work, the shortest amount of time a company (S&W) kept my gun after receiving it was 9 days and was then sent back using 2 day shipping.  They inform customers that warranty work can take up to 6 weeks.  I have that same pistol back at S&W for the same problem (slide stop) and they've had it for 8 days now.

I don't know what the max time frame is for CZ warranty work but I can tell you that they were extremely fast for my problem.  I just purchased a RAMI and one of the extended mags I ordered was very difficult to seat in the magwell.  They received the bad mag yesterday and 1240 and I was sent a confirmation email for a replacement being shipped to me 8 hours ago.

Hopefully your experience with CZ is similar to mine.

I'm looking forward to my suppressor ready p10c to ship.  Should be about two to three months away. [emoji53]

I just bought a P10c last Saturday and CZ has it back right now.  The trigger will not reset without manually pulling it to reset or by shaking the pistol.  The ejection is also very week just dropping brass at my feet.  I put about 100 rounds through it nothing changed so it's not a break in issue.  I had really high hopes for this pistol I hope they get it fixed.  Even if they do how many more rounds will it take for me to trust my life with it if I ever do?

CZ-USA does have excellent customer service, so hang in there, they will get you fixed right up.

I'd say when you get it back run 500rnds of different kinds of ammo through it. If you have no problems you should be good to go. If you're still worried about it after that, run 500 more through it.If no problems after that, then I'd quit worrying.

I really like my P10 so far. I have about 400/500 rounds through it. I had the same issue as you. The coil wound roll pin behind the slide release/lock started walking out. I called CZ-USA and they said I could send it in, but they don't even have any parts to fix it yet. I decided to wait until they get parts in and will order the pins when they have them in stock. Another poster had the same issue as well.

I wonder if CZ has tweaked some of the problems my slide stop is not at all difficult, with an empty mag I just pull it a little farther and no problem. I've got 250 through mine no problems at all. The trigger is the best part of the whole pistol if that goes away like @badwrench I would not be happy . Mine ejects into the next county. I wonder if you just got a bad one or are we all on borrowed time?

There's only one problem with that, if the hole in  the part that the pin is holding in place is slightly oversize, then the pin will still walk out. To fix the problem you'll need either a oversize pin, or the part the pin is hold in in the frame needs replaced. When I talked to CZ, they did'nt say anything to me about not having parts.

The pin walking out is the only real problem I've had, my slide stop has smoothed out, it ejects just fine, and the mag release has also loosened up. With any mass produced product, you're bound to get some bad ones, although I don't consider a pin walking out to be that big of a problem. Are we all on borrowed time? Hardly. These are just minor issues that pop up with any new product, and is to be expected.

Cz not having parts is why I opted to just wait. Since they didn't have parts for the P10s yet, I asked if the gun would just sit there then until they received parts? I was told yes. I figured then there's no point in sending it in until they get parts. The person I spoke to also said, since there's no parts, they  could probably try to "rig" something to fix it. That wasn't too reassuring. I'll be curious to see how your repair goes! So far, I really dig the gun.

Check out   www.spirol.com  they make coil pins and I suspect this is where CZ gets their pins from as they have a office in the Czech Republic. ( If I remember correctly Spirol is where HK gets their pins)The pin in my gun measured .102 in diameter and was 1.020 inches long. I don't have any way to measure the ID of the hole it goes it. That measurement would be the key to choosing the right diameter pin.  These could  a special size, I'm not sure, when I looked on Spirol's pin charts (both inch and metric) the diameter  of my pin did'nt quite match what they showed. Anyway I sent my P-10 back today, I'm going to let CZ deal with it. So, for now, it's back to carrying  my g19.

Thanks! I'll look into spirol. I tried every tool and fastener place I could find where I live, all to no avail. All the coil pins I could find were too short to stretch across the frame. I will be anxious to see what CZ does with yours. Hopefully, it's just an undersized pin and not the frame hole being over sized. I will shoot mine one more time and see how it goes and I may just send it back to CZ as well. It's not too big of deal, but does lower my confidence in the pistol slightly, even though pins have walked out on other guns I own.
