SHUSH ACT S1505

I debated whether to add this to Armoredmans post, but since the topic is similar yet different I decided to start a new post. The mods are welcome to move it if they deem necessary.
The SHUSH Act introduced last week by Sens. Mike Lee (R-UT) and Mike Crapo (R-ID) the SHUSH Act would eliminate ALL the federal regulations covering the possession, purchase, transfer, etc. of suppressors! Under their bill, suppressors would be treated as a firearms accessory, not a firearm, presently, every part of a silencer is considered a firearm.
To me, classifying suppressors as an accessory makes more sense and hopefully it will get those congressmen and women who are on the fence about the HPA to vote for it. We shall see.

Good to know! That does appear to be the Senate companion bill to H.R.3139.
S.1505 - A bill to provide that silencers be treated the same as firearms accessories.

Probably why S&W is buying Gemtec. Betting thier lobbyist and campaign contributions will payoff. Hope they are right.

Contact your elected officials, put out the word, lets get it rolling. I would love to have a suppressor for hunting! It's the only normal shooting activity you do without hearing protection.
