So, why does the gun have to go back to the factory?

First, welcome to the forum.
Further description would help if you can't load pics. As to pull, I can attest that on my P10c, cleaning and relubing dropped the pull .5-.75 lb. mine had a lot of cosmoline in it. A little dry firing did indeed smooth it out a bit. Really 5.5-6lbs isn't bad at all for a defensive pistol.
I would guess the mothership will have a new one back within 2weeks, depending on stock on hand.

Maybe, maybe not, CZ usually tells people 4 weeks for warranty service, My p-10 needed a pin in the frame replaced because it kept walking out, it took them almost 4 weeks to fix it. Granted, this  might go faster since CZ is going to replace the entire pistol, but, I would'nt count on it. I've used CZ warranty service twice, both times for simple fixes and each time it was an almost 4 week wait..

4 weeks is actually pretty darn good. I've had to use Walther 2 times in the past with a wait time of 6 weeks. Springfield Armory 1 time with a wait of 5 weeks and S&W far to many times with an average wait time of 6 weeks and more than 2 months 1 time.

Oh, I'm not complaining, I'm just saying that theOP should be aware that this is likely to take longer than a couple of weeks.  As far as best customer service goes, in my experience, that would go to HK. I had installed a LEM kit I bought from them in a HK45ct, and had a problem with the hammer, I made a vid showing the problem ans sent it to their head 'smith. He send me a shipping label, I got it boxed up and shipped that afternoon, it was there, the following morning. 5hrs later it was fixed, test fired, boxed back up, and on it's way back to me..  I think the total time was less than 48hrs.. It may have been a fluke, but that's the fastest I've ever seen a pistol get shipped, repaired, shipped back..

HK customer service is fantastic.  I haven't had any problems with their guns but have used them for service and they are great.  I have never had to us cz's but from what I've read they take good care of customers.
