Cz-82 ftf/ jam issue
« on: August 07, 2017, 07:44:14 AM »
I just picked up a new (to me) Cz 82
Prodo. Year 1988. Took it out to the range with the Cz mag it came with and a aftermarket mag. ran red army standard "elite" through the first mag without a problem. Every reload after that on both mags were ftf/jamming. After a shot or so a round just gets caugh almost straight up and down everyime I drop the mag it falls right out and I can re chamber the next round  no issue but it likely jams again before the end of the magazine. And then everyoncd in a while the gun would fail to lock back open on the last shot... I went online and got a 18 pound Wolff recoil spring that should hopefully be here in a day or so. I see a lot of people online having the same issue and most people say it's the mags and to switch the feed ramp around... anyone got any instructions or tips on this fix ? This is my first Cz and is also my first gun I'm having issues with so I guess you could say I'm a noob lol. Any help would be awesome

Wanted to attach a image of the jam but couldn't get a photo attached on my phone

Could you post a link to the recommendations to turn the fee ramp around?  I'm not sure how one would do that.

From what I've seen, the most common cause of the stovepipes is the feed lips being spread too wide.

How did you do that.  It says they are out-of-stock.
