You bet:)  I will be adding more along the way.

Even if I'm wayy too poor to afford any new(or used)
guns right now///
I'm really excited about the DWs planned for 2006.

Those FO sights were custom made for DW owners on the 1911 forum DW forum by Dave Severn of Severn Customs.

It was a special run, and he isn't currently making any more.

You might check out Dawson, and maybe Novak??

I took some pictures today in natural light and got better results than I normally get.  A comparison between Ruger and S&W is what precipitated the photo session, so I'll C&P the data also so you can make your own conclusions about the strength of a DW.

I got out the digital caliper and measured a few things on my .44 & .45 Rugers and S&W - and found that the 'massive' assumptions I had heard of for so many years just weren't so. OD is obvious. To is the chamber to outside thickness. Tb is between chambers. TB is the barrel thickness at the muzzle. L is the OAL of the cylinder.

.44 Magnum
Ruger SBH  4.6" SS          S&W 629-6 4"
OD   1.729"                    1.713"
To     .090"                      .096"
Tb     .085"                      .115"
TB     .172"                      .167"
L      1.702"                   1.709"

.45 Colt
Ruger 4.6" SS Vaq     5.5" SS Redhawk    S&W 625-6 MG 4" 625JM .45 ACP
OD   1.729"                 1.782"                 1.711"           1.707
To     .078"                   .102"                  .070"             .072"
Tb     .064"                   .059"                  .062"             .062"
TB     .159"                   .158"                  .092"             .163"
L      1.705"                 1.748"                 1.674"           1.535"

Here's the measurements on my Dan Wesson 744.  With a Red Head 1X30 red dot, B-Square mount and 6" VH barrel shroud, it weighs 69.5 ounces empty.

Barrel thickness @ muzzle/threads .115"
Cylinder OAL 1.762"
Chamber to outside .120"
Chamber to chamber .131"
Cylinder diameter 1.771"

Oh, BTW, they did ask about the Anaconda and the DWs. ;)

I sure hope there's more enthusiasm with DW products than what I'm seeing here!

I just put a newly converted red insert on my DW 715.  The original color has now been changed to neon green with Brichwood Casey's "Super Bright Touch-Up Sight Pens".  I also colored the sides of the red insert with a black Marks-A-Lot so I wouldn't have to look at Christmas colors all year round!

Great gun, lousy camera. But what do you think I would rather spend my money on?

After seeing all the Big Iron above I thought I would show you one of my carry guns --- a DW 715FB. It is a true 3" fixed barrel Palmer six shot .357 -- very accurate and 100% reliable, of course.

Well, GRRRRRR! I can't get PhotoBucket to show my image on the Forum so just take my word for the gun and I'll spend some time in the "Help" section and try to post a picture.

It's lovely! and appears to be the most accurate handgun I have. It was a combined Christmas & birthday present for my youngest who just turned 15 Christmas eve. He can handle it, though; He's 6'2" and weighs 208.

Late 70's according to the pleasant person on the other end of the phone line. Why would ATF take, and KEEP, all their records?

Razorback # 70 and #118 of 150:

The special laser engraving on the #70 of 150 run.

Thanks to others turning me towards Dan Wesson, and the impeccable service I have had with a few DW/CZ employees (namely Keith), these two NIB Razorback's will NOT be my last DW. Mark my words! I would like to get one of the trial 10mm Patriots, but I haven't been able to find any for sale. So, I'll probably eventually settle for the Commander Bobtail.
