What does CZ have for us in 2006??
« on: November 11, 2005, 10:58:11 AM »
Good Morning!

I just registered for the upcoming 2006 S.H.O.T. show and it got me to thinking...always a dangerous thing!  Has anyone heard what we might expect from CZ next year?

In looking over the CZ-UB web site, I don't see much over at the mother factory that there would be a big market for over here with the exception, maybe, of the CZ 110 their SA/DA polymer.

I'd really like to CZ-USA develop the Dan Wesson line beyond some 1911 replicas.  Maybe a new single action revolver to compliment the Durango and Amarillo shot guns for Cowboy Action Shooting.

What are your thoughts?  What CZ would you like to see??

I would like to see the following.

1. The polymer frame Rami to finally make an appearance.

2.  A polymer frame CZ75/85 full size similar to the Witness Force type full size polymer frame.

3.  A more affordable 1911 clone under $700 to expand the 1911 line and not make it Dan Wesson exclusive.

4.  Whatever happened to the Dan Wesson revolvers?  Its like they dissapeared off the face of the earth!

5.  A 9mm / .40SW semi auto carbine,  like Beretta and kel Tec, etc.   Make the mags from the CZ75/85 compatible with the carbine.  Now I would be the first to buy several of those.  Its like what Kel Tec did with the Glock 17 and what Beretta did with the carbines with the model 92 and 96.  Total compatability.  That sells, especially to existing pistol owners.

If CZ made a Carbine that accepted the 75 mags, I'd have to sell my Soul for one of those.  Love my Keltec SUB 2K.

I'm happy with the Sub2K (mine is in the Sig Magazine Grip Configuration) since I discovered it works flawlessly with all CZ 75 mags.  This announcement was met with some skepticism in some of my earlier posts, although to date, I have not had one single failure to feed etc..  The KelTec stock Sig mag (from what I can see) is virtually indentical to the CZ mags and it just pleases me immensely.  No secrets here, it works and works perfect.   Don't tell anyone, they just wouldn't believe you....LOL

i was serching a lot to see if CZ is going to make something in .357 SIG, but i did not find anything, some friend of mine have one Sig in that caliber i was shooting it the last weenkend and i really like it, i am thinking in buy one but i really like CZ!!!!, so maybe CZ include something in that caliber (i am sure i am going to have one if they do that) i dont know but maybe is a good idea, i really like to see a compact or a rami in that caliber or why not a 75B, i undestad (maybe i am wrong) that you only have to change the barrel of a .40 to make it a .357 SIG so i think CZ dont have to do a lot of work to have a line in that caliber!!!! by the way here in my country at january is going to be the compact .40 so that is going to be my next CZ adquisiton!!!!

have a great day

Alex:
Good to hear from you.  I hope there was not too much damage in your area from hurricane wilma.   As I recall,  you have a CZ100.   It would also be a great idea in my mind, if CZ came up with a DAO model similar to the 100 or 110, but with a better trigger, and a full size.
  Stay safe!

I would love to see CZ expand to semi-auto rifles....and re-introduce the Skorpion in a quality semi auto rig, in 9mm....

A Retro added as a full-time addition to the 75 line and a SS compact, with all SS guns getting a brushed finish instead the current glossy.  All CZ needs are pearl grips to complete the "pimp in a cheap New Orleans whorehouse" look with this finish.

A 97 in 10mil would be great...if they would only scale that pistol down.  It apparently was designed for Big Foot.  I bought one and sold it unfired.  Just too bulky.  Jeff Cooper told them so but they didn't listen.

Stainless steel in all models.

Larger capacity Kadet magazines.

i'd like a cz in .38 super. i've looked at the witness, but from the reports i've read it's a crapshoot on whether you'll get a good one.
