clean everything FIRST "as you should always do with a new firearm" re-lube and then test fire. I doubt you'll have any problems. and if it is rust on the ramp a little 800 grit and your good to go.

Yes! That is something most people don?t realize. Guns are packed by the factory with the expectation that they may sit in a box for years, be exposed to heat and cold, and have to fight off humidity and moisture.  Every gun must be cleaned if you expect it to function well.

All of my Glock's have come with a rust-colored grease on the action.  Not sure if this could be the same thing.  http://www.glockforum.net/forum/attachments/glock-talk-discussion/1569d1364423438-recently-purchased-glock-27-glock-26-factory-copper-colored-grease-slide.jpg

Meh...I didn't clean mine first, and I'm 500 rounds into it with zero malfunctions. I'm not saying it's not a good idea to do an initial cleaning, just that maybe it's not quite as crucial as many people say it is.

Alrighty then.

You start a thread about disappointment with CZ with a copper/rust color on the feed ramp and have no clue what it is.

OP didn't come back after taking it out the first time.

It would be my guess that after cleaning the cosmoline off everything - the ramp was just fine.  Either it worked just fine, or he's so very disgusted by the color of the feed ramp that he sold it for pennies on the dollar and is saving for a glock.  J/K  He didn't sound that upset.

OP - come back and tell us what the result was please.

I like Glocks and polishing the feed ramp is one of the first things I do. He will crap himself when he sees all the copper anti seize in a Glock  :o
