Stock hinge pin
« on: October 15, 2017, 11:36:29 AM »
As I saw on a previous post, my stock is not the only one to have the hinge pin start to walk out while shooting.  Did anyone find a fix for this?

I would think you could stake the plastic to hold the pin. I don't remember what was come up with in the old thread on it.

The old thread did not have a solid solution.

4mm O-1 tool steel rod from McMaster Carr for about $3 (3 foot length).

find a machinist to cut to length, round the ends, knurl a bit of one end, and harden, and Bob's your uncle.
