Nice, any plans for it?

Highly suggest the HBi trigger and the ak safety, two low expense and useful upgrades....

CZ needs to start shipping with reduced pull springs. A factory 11lb pull is rediculous  ???. It's a little expensive for what it is at $12+/- shipped for an hbi spring but its a MUST HAVE item. Everything else is just ergo upgrades such ad a lever style mag release.

I too have a new carbine showing up tomorrow, if UPS doesn't misplace it between now and then. Like yours, it will have a couple of CZ pals welcoming it into the arsenal.

My first purchase for the new arrival will be an ETS C.A.M. loader. This scorpion likes to eat. Its got a rep for its voracious appetite and fast metabolism. Keepin it fed can consume a large chunk of ones interaction time with it. The C.A.M. can minimize your time spent on the task. Might have an inverse effect on the ammo budget though.

Although I once owned a couple, I don't really have a SIGnature.

Picked up my new Scorpion from the FFL within the last hour.

Weather is inhospitable at best. I sent 10 rounds down range and headed home convinced of 2 things;

 1) the safety isn't safe. It ripped a good sized piece off my right thumbnail right there in the store... just as I was saying how people didn't care for it.  I manned up and headed toward the truck and drove straight to the range where I found out just how understated the other notorious issue is by you guys.

2) The trigger is pure suckage! I quit firing after 10 rounds and plan to take this thing apart and do a dustin and buffin session on the assembly. That will happen before anymore lead passes through the barrel.

EDIT: I just finished cleaning and lubing the factory goop out of the mechanisms. This is something I (and I'm sure most of you) would normally do before firing a round. In my defense, I've been watching youtube videos of firearm torture tests by Russian imigrants. This thing aint that bad a runner when maintained! However, that factory applied pre sale crud is pure unadulterated sheet.

I think Im going to really enjoy it after I exorcise these demons.

Anyone had success altering the stock trigger spring via the youtube method of plier application?

I'll order from HBI but I'm going to mutilate the OEM spring before it has time to get here.

ANNNND, I really need that C.A.M> loader too

* Get a spring set from HBI to reduce the trigger weight
* While you are at it, pick up a set of HBI AK safety levers. I really like the full size on the RH side.
* Polish the hammer shelf under the three hooks.
* Polish the disconnector lever on the side against the trigger wall and the trigger wall.  A smooth trigger pull is much nicer than a gritty one.
* The stock trigger has a really long trigger pull. Consider Installing shims to reduce the trigger take up, reset distance, and over travel.  You can easily remove 75% of the travel.

What a fun gun!

Im not a gunsmith and i don't mess with internals, whatever they did over at HBi is good enough for me! it shoots great, has a short pull and short reset and is so much lighter than stock!

I would send mine to HBI for a transformation but I suffer from separation anxiety. I'm going to have to get dirty and DIY. I'm anxious to make mine the carbine you all love and I'm gonna do it soon.

Hows it handle the MAL-WART aluminum case Federal rounds? Never tried it in my other 9's. $0.15 a round isn't bad for readily available ammo. If you can actually hit anything with it; that's a plus. My gut feeling is that the high demand for high capacity magazines is directly related to the amount of  satisfaction derived from emptying them. Which makes me think saving a nickle to a dime a round could really add up for a guy who hits the range frequently. Which brings us back to that need for a magazine loading device.

Any negatives on the alloy cased stuff?

I sent my pack to HBI for the drilling, springs, shoe, and ak safety installation and turnaround was less than a week!

I haven?t run the federal aluminum but I?ve ran blazer aluminum and to me blazer is pretty garbage ammo.  It?s pretty dirty and the blazer brass actually locked up my P01 when I shot it, it was raining and that dirty ammo got into every crevice and the heat caked it in pretty good, bleep near cement.  Anyway the scorpion ran fine both blazer brass and aluminum and hst hollow points and wolf and Tula  steel case as well as some 115 grain powder puff loads a friend and I cooked up
