Pre b 75
« on: December 02, 2017, 08:21:15 AM »
Just thought I would introduce myself. My name is Craig and I just ordered my first CZ.

Ordered a Pre B CZ 75. This is one of the surplus guns. Says it is poor condition but I wanted a project. Hoping for one that shoots good.

I thought this might be a good place to come for information as I go.

Oh yeah.  Lots of folks here have done the same thing.  Varying degrees of parts replacements and varying degrees of modifications done depending on the condition of the pistol and the desires of the new owner.

They are nice pistols, too, when you get done with it.

I've got a Pre B CZ85 I went through (mechanical stuff) and had it refinished (cerakoted) by Primary Machine.  I liked the looks of the two tone guns so I had mine done that way.  It's about time to dig mine out and wear it again (winter/drop leg holster carry) around the property.

Gotta have pictures?  When you get it, take pictures and share with the rest of us.  You might inspire someone else to buy an old one and restore/customize one, too.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Craig, Welcome to the forum!  I have been thinking about doing the same thing.  Let us know how the project turns out, with pictures of course. :)
