Oh yeah. Lots of folks here have done the same thing. Varying degrees of parts replacements and varying degrees of modifications done depending on the condition of the pistol and the desires of the new owner.
They are nice pistols, too, when you get done with it.
I've got a Pre B CZ85 I went through (mechanical stuff) and had it refinished (cerakoted) by Primary Machine. I liked the looks of the two tone guns so I had mine done that way. It's about time to dig mine out and wear it again (winter/drop leg holster carry) around the property.
Gotta have pictures? When you get it, take pictures and share with the rest of us. You might inspire someone else to buy an old one and restore/customize one, too.
