Recoil Spring REplacemnt Comment
« on: December 08, 2017, 08:19:47 AM »
Well...if ever I needed confirmation about needing to change recoil springs...

As of Saturday, I had put a little over 2800 rounds through my RAMI - w. the original spring assembly.  Slide return had slowed down enough so that, instead of a solid "snap," I was getting more of a "ker-chunk" (yes, I could feel the difference) and one failure to go into battery.  Spring now replaced and I ran IDPA w. the RAMI last evening.  Zero issues and the "snap" is back!

Could I ask where you got that spring?  They appear to be out of stock everywhere.

Good to hear!  Seems like if the guns are running smoothly, you can get some good mileage out of the springs!

Thanks for sharing.

I got the spring assemblies from Cajun Gun Works several weeks ago.  And...the last time I checked, they were out...

Ah OK, thanks.  Good to know you can go much more than 600 rounds if you want to on the stock springs.

I've had good results just replacing the outer spring at ~1200 rnds, and then complete assembly every 3rd change running strong 124gr. ammo. Just replaced my 1st 'complete' assembly at 3600 round mark and it's sweeter than ever. I love these little RAMI's. Just ordered my 2nd RAMI BD last weekend (before deguns.net SOLD OUT).

Yes. Just picked up my Rami bd last Saturday at my local ffl..also from Deguns.net..Sweet pistol.  Only got to shoot a bit earlier this week.  Cannot wait until the next extended range day.

When they're back in stock, pick up a couple of Cajun Gun Works' 60001 RAMI Recoil Spring.  They work very well and last for a lot of rounds.

I got notified they are back in stock at the CZ web store yesterday.  Went ahead and ordered 4.  Seems like they run out fast and take a long time to get more in stock.

Thank you for sharing that information.  I'm going to order some additional springs, just to have a few extra spares available whenever I need them.

Thanks Congaree, ordered two outer springs last night from CZUSA. I might try the CGW or Wolf springs too and see if they last any longer. I like shooting my RAMI a lot.  O0

For anyone still following this thread...CGW had, I think, 22 whole assemblies in-stock this afternoon.  Now, down to 21...

Correct me if I'm wrong. The last time I checked, Wolff Springs did not carry replacement CZ Rami recoil springs.
They are always in short supply because when they ARE available, people order "a couple". I know I did, and the original is still running fine @ 800 - 1000 rounds. But I shoot mostly target ammo.
CZ-83, CZ-75D PCR, finally, a CZ Rami 9mm
Sure, I'd like to be young again, if it didn't come with such a big dose of stupid.
