Disappointed in NJ

    Part of the reason I LEFT NJ way back in 1979. I could NOT abide with the general anti gun attitude there.

    I surely starved when I first moved to Montana but do not regret the move.

    The pistol permit system is total bullbleep. Too bad the ACLU is anti gun and only interested in furthering their Liberal agenda. The pistol permit BS in Jersey would be a perfect test case , showing it's against the 2nd Amendment, and a form of gun control.

    MOVE. You will be far happier.

One of its commentators wrote "Notice the lowest rated states also have some of the highest crime rates...coincidence?"

Actually we have been voted number 1 for firearms freedoms 5 years running by Guns and Ammo magazine. Yeah, we like that. And I compared crime rates between Phoenix, our closest thing to a big city, to Chicago, with the WIDE difference in laws...with over half the population, PHX has less than 20% of the violent crime. We like being able to defend ourselves...

Since waiting sucks, guess i will buy a new rifle. Really like to Ruger 10/22 takedown. Dont need a permit for a rifle, go figure!

And if you try to get an exception for the one handgun a month rule, it takes over a month so you?re basically stuck waiting. My surplus Pre B that arrived at my FFL weeks ago won?t be in my possession till at least the end of February

I find it so interesting that states that have ALWAYS been the most corrupt and crime ridden treat their honest citizenry the worst while never addressing the cause of their woes in the first place. I drove through NJ several years ago and felt I needed a shower as soon as I cleared the state line, unfortunately that led me into NY and I needed steamed before I got out of that cesspool.

v35, we've been steadily improving our firearms laws for years, one step at time. Thanks to tireless work from a whole host of dedicated people like Brassroots and AZCDL, we went from having no way to legally conceal in 1994 to Constitutional Carry in 2010. It takes work, dedication, and legislators willing to listen. Admittedly my part in all this was quite small, but I did my part.

Try to pump your own gas in New Jersey.  Big government is what must have NJ Utopia.
... at least for the elite class.

   Yeah the gas pumping thing IS strange...but it did afford jobs for HS kids anyway. At least it did for me and most of my buddies.

   The gun situation in Jersey has been crazy for many years. I moved out over 40 years ago. I starved for some time and never made the wages I would have as a cop in NJ....But I don't regret it.
