Any comments pro or con regarding the ASAI One Pro .45. Have 1 already and found a slightly newer one in box for $ 650.00. Is that a fair price?

I've had one and it was an excellent gun.   Very light and smooth DA/SA trigger.  (Maybe too light for me.)  I traded it away to CIGARGUY, here on the forum, with some cash for a Sphinx.  Best and lightest trigger I've ever found in a factory gun.

Accurate, too.   And heavy, which is nice for range work or home defense, but awkward for concealed carry.

That price cited is higher than I'd pay. I paid about $425 for one that was ANIB with everything in the box.   That was a great bargain, but the Fjestad Blue Book says a good price is  around $500 for one in 98% condition.

For the money, I think I'd get one of the new Witness Limited or a CZ-97B and an action job.

Walt,

Is the ASAI noticably thinner or shorter than the 97b?  Because then it would make a pretty good (and nearly unique) CCW gun, if you're looking for a .45 in DA/SA that's small but weighs enough to absorb recoil.

Both thinner and shorter.  I think its heavier too.  Cigarman has the one I had; direct your questions to him.

Wonderfully smooth trigger.  Very, very light.   I may break down and look for another one, one of these days.

In most respects, I'd say its comparable to a Sphinx and a much lower price.

It got rave reviews from the few magazines that looked at it, especially for the trigger pull in both modes.
