Decent gun show today

Put a SP01 on layaway (450 bucks).

CZ75BD for 329.99 with 2 16rnd mags (some had tritium sights)

CZ75 Compacts with 2 16rnd mags for 329.99

Didn't sell my 38 super yet.  Can't figure this one out.  The 10mm went pretty quick for $300 + shipping.  A 38 super with two mags and in like new condition, and people don't even make offers on it.  I was down to an asking price of $325 and I didn't even get a single offer on it.  There wasn't a single other Witness at the show (well one polymer gun).

Do people not realize how much fun 9x23/38 super is?

Its a good round, but its not common and you pretty much MUST reload -- unless you've more money than I have...

atblis, I think that I would have jumped on that SP-01 for that price, too.  The others weren't too shabby, either.  As for you 38 Super, I want one, but I am getting into hot water with my purchases.  A bonus is coming, though.  Maybe....

It's cheaper than 10mm (unless you go to Joe Bob's gun shop).

Have people never heard of mail order?  I've found the Aguila stuff for $7.00 a box.  The WWB 9x23 is under $10.

I've never found that many brands of .38 super on the net, and never at such a low price.  Where was THAT found?

ok, i'm dumb. are they the same rounds? will they work in a 38 super gun with no modifications to the gun? it figures, everytime i'm broke somebody has a 38 super witness for sale. hopefully 'll find one next month after the tax refund comes in:D .

Yes and no.

They both shoot a 9mm/.355 bullet.

38 super is semi rimmed and has slightly different external dimensions (I think it has a slight taper).

9x23 is rimless, and is very very thick.  You can do some things with 9x23 that I wouldn't advise trying with 38 super brass.

In factory loadings
38 Super +P = ~1200 FPS
9x23 Winchester = 1450-1500 FPS
Winchester Government type ammo can be had for less than $10 a box.

In the case of the Witness, in my experience and others on the board, the 9x23 functions fine (Personally I think they should just make the thing into a 9x23).  Supposedly you may have to change the extractor to a 9mm extractor (not hard).  I haven't had to do this...

Natchezss often has the Aguilla on sale for well under $10.

There's another website that sells it (lost the link temporarily)

I was buying the aguilla for $9.00 out the door at the gun show.
