CZ Compact wt. vs. my PO1 & Sig 229. Too much?
« on: January 31, 2018, 01:01:12 AM »
At 180 lbs., 5'11", age 62: recently bought a PO1, then this Sig P229 in .40 cal. Maybe this Sig is considered a bit heavy for prolonged carry.

Every time I jog since buying the P229 (usually 10-11 rds. kept in the mag), it is kept in an IWB with two spread out, very tight clips over the waistband, and the belt pulled in tight.
It's comfortable for running 30 min. on dirt trails, and very snug/stable.

Do people find the classic CZ Compact too uncomfy compared to the lighter PO1, even when just walking a long time?
Were I to ever buy an extra CZ (if no local 'used' 9mm P229 is found), an original Compact would be nice.

The compact is a bit over 4 ounces heavier than the P-01. I carry my PCR (same as P-01 no rail) primarily but the Compact gets holster time too and I can carry either all day comfortably. I carry OWB in the 5 o'clock position. A good quality holster and belt are the key. I'm 5'11'' and 187lbs.
