My P-01 (99041)
« on: February 03, 2018, 04:02:22 PM »
I received it a few days ago and I am loving it so far. So far I added a set of Lok grips but I plan to add some new sights as well as some parts from CGW. I had it at the range this morning and it was awesome to shoot. I need to get some more ammo soon too, I think it is going to be going fast.

Nice find!

- In all forms of strategy, it is necessary to maintain the combat stance in everyday life and to make your everyday stance your combat stance. (situational awareness).
- You can only fight the way you practice.

I?m a little unclear on the nomenclature.  Shouldn?t this be a SP-01 compact since it has the steel frame and safety

Perhaps so, but it says P-01 on the box and on the slide, so I assumed that was name.

The first pistols we saw made this way (looked like a P01 but had the steel frame) were labeled CZ 75 Compact on the side of the slide.  They don't look like the regular CZ 75 Compact and folks got to calling them SP01 Compacts.  The second bunch that hit the US market were labeled P01 on the slide, even though they have a steel frame.

CZ is the "Heinz 57" maker of handguns, it seems.  Things are always getting "mixed up", like a mixed breed dog.  Which are pretty darn good dogs most of the time.  After having a mix of pure bred and "Heinz 57" found and dog pound puppies over the years, I just get the Heinz 57 breed dogs these days.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?
