Recently had the e-conversion done on my 97. Now you have me thinking on sending in my Phantom.

That e-conversion is one heck of a package. You've got yourself a real world class shooter there in your 97. If you do decide to send in your Phantom, you don't need me to tell you that you won't regret it.

Very nice.  I've been considering a Phantom and these pics might have put me over the edge  ;)

The Phantom is honestly a very nice pistol. As much as I like my P-09, I've come to prefer the Phantom over it. For me, the grip fits my hands better (it's narrower from front to back than the P-09), it is noticeably lighter than the P-09, and it is every bit as accurate. Of course, like all of my CZ pistols, it has been 100% reliable.

awesome. the phantom was my first cz purchase just a few months ago. i liked it but it didnt fall in love with how it felt in my hand until i swapped out to smaller backstrap. what a difference that made for me. What was your trigger pull registering at before the work being done?

Hi,QuattroGinger! I had the same experience regarding the backstrap. I too found the pistol fits my hand better and is more comfortable using the smaller of the two backstraps. I can't answer your question about the stock trigger pull weight because my Phantom went directly from CZ to Cajun Gun Works to have the work done on it so I have no idea what it was.

Very nice.  What does the sight picture look like?

It's excellent and these sights serve well as combat sights and still do a good job at allowing precision shooting at normal pistol ranges (<25 yds). The front sight has a nice, big white ring circling its tritium vial while the rear sight's two vial have no ring so your eye is easily and naturally drawn to the front sight. At the same time, there is sufficient light between the front sight blade to make fine shooting possible. In low light and darkness, the front and rear sights glow are identical in size and glowing equally bright so they work just like most other night sights. I like them so much, I think I'm going to install a set on my P-07.

Interesting.  Got a pic from the back side?

No, but I'll try and take a decent one for you.

Thanks.

Since I, naturally, couldn't get the front and rear sights in focus at the same time, I took two photos. In real life, the rear dots look much more diminutive than in the photos. Easily visible, but no hindrance in getting that front sight on target.

That?s a great sight picture

Are those sights adjustable?

Hi, Exit Plan. No, they are fixed combat-type sights though they can, of course, be drifted for windage adjustments.

Beautiful pistol!  I love the rear Novak-type sight on it.  Do you notice any significant balance or recoil issues with the polymer frame?  The grip looks so comfortable, I?m thinking of buying one of those through CGW rather than sending in my 75 Compact in for the full package; I have just a little bit of a trigger reach problem on the initial grip with the hammer down, and have to adjust my grip over a bit to get a better finger purchase on the trigger.  Thanks.

No, there are no balance issues with it whatsoever. I shoot the Phantom as well as any of my other pistols. In fact, it's become my favorite pistol to shoot at the range. Regarding the trigger reach of the Phantom, it is short enough for my wife to comfortably reach. She has some difficulty with the P-09 and P-07, but none with the Phantom. If you get the Pro-Package, it includes their Reach Reduction Kit. It, combined with the Phantom's grip, makes the trigger easy to reach even for people with relatively small hands like my wife's. I don't think you'll regret your decision if you decide to get one.
