What did Taraus actualy change to make the Millenium Pro series  better than the older series. I am very interested in the .45 24/7 but have read tons of bad reviews about the older millenium series stuff in anything bigger than 9mm. Has any one put over 500rds or 1000rds through their 24/7 yet?

Wow. I wish Taurus made this in a .45acp.

They do.  It is the model 945, I think.  The local pawnshop has one.  Only bad thing I have heard of them is that the front sights was bad to work loose.  That is an easy problem to fix however.

I am looking at the size of that pistol and the rail. I guess maybee .45acp would not work in that small of a metal frame maybe. I do not think that particular 9mm is available yet. If they made it in a .40 maybe.

I have three Millennium Pros and two 24/7s.  They are exceptional pistols.  I like them as much as my Glocks.  The  trigger on the 24/7 is incredible,  no wonder it was voted NRA gun of the year.  I have over 2000 round through each of the Mill Pros ,(totally superior to the first generation Millenniums). and about 700 rounds through my 24/7, with only ZERO malfunctions accross the entire ammunition brand and type spectrum.
They are very easy to strip down and re-assemble,  very flawless function,  +P rated for all ammo and incredible guns.  All of mine are in .40SW now.
The guns are incredibly ergonomic and what I love most is the trigger.  The trigger has a cradle at the base which increases trigger control 500% IMHO.  ,for a DAO, this is an incredible feat.
It must also be pointed out that whatever you know and experienced about the first generation Millenniums,  these are not the same guns,  TOTALLY different.
My Mill Pro .40SWs are 10+1
and the 24/7 is 15+1
I can't say enough positive things about these guns.  Some love them, others hate them.  I like them as much as my Glocks, but I like the trigger on the 24/7 better.  You simply have to shoot this gun to understand.  Your trigger finger will feel like its being cradled in the base of the trigger and will yield a very pleasant and accurate shooting experience.

So what about the .45 24/7 I thought you had one of those. Have or did you have any problems with it before ? The .45 is realy what I am interested in.

I had the .45ACP ,but traded it for a .40SW.  I found that I had better trigger control with the .40SW, don't get me wrong, the .45ACP version is dead accurate, but the .40SW was and is far more accurate for me.  I also wanted more capacity.

Thanks for the info. I have have been looking though and have seen EAAs Witness p carry .45 and I think that is what I am going to get. The mags can interchange with my 97B since most the mags I have purchased for my CZ have been the witness mags. I might even get one in the 10mm if I like my steel 10mm when I shoot it.

Also, the Glock 27 is a great choice for a potent concealed carry.  I love the .40SW cartridge.
I have mine in a High Noon Side Effect holster.

Brasman - Pictured below is my lightly customized Taurus PT945, whose front sight has never come off. (Note: The early first generation PT945's had their steel front sights dovetailed in. The second generation PT945's (of which mine is one of) have their plastic front sights retained by a screw.)  PT945's have an 8 round single column magazine.

The 9mm PT909B that you have referenced is actually made on a PT92AR frame.  They share the same 17 round double column 9mm magazine.  The PT909B is on my ever growing list of things to get!

My friend has one of those in stainless and it seemed to be fairly accurate when I shot it.

KPIII - Is that one of the newer Auto-Ordnance 1911's made after Kahr took them over?  If so, how does it compare with other makes of 1911's?

Thankyou, weemsf!  It shoots as good as it looks.  Feeds everything except SWC's.  Second only to my Witness .45's.
