yes, its one of the best guns ever made.  ,but if you like competition type triggers, forget about this gun,  you have to love long and hard triggers and you have to love DAO striker fired pistols like the CZ100 and the FN49. If you understand their application in a snag free environment for concealed carry, then you will understand their application.  I personally like both DAO and DA/SA.  I am not one of these 1911 vs. Glock types, despite my username.  I love my Kimbers and Rugers as much as my Glocks and XDs, but this is a very expensive weapon and you have to shoot it first to understand that its a "different " kind of animal.  Its also a very specialized rotating barrel locker.  Your trigger pull is going to be about 7-9 lbs.   Now, the good thing is that it comes with two mags, and the .45ACP is a full 8 cap and the .40SW is a full 10 cap,  springs are phenomenal and the mags don't feel tight and overloaded out of the box.
Expect to pay $700 NIB for it. I have not seen it cheaper than that.  I paid $725 for mine.

The gun is built like a Rolls Royce.  The tolerances are incredible.  Its worth every penny, but if you are used to shooting a 1911 or a Glock, then you will hate it.
If you are used to shooting a CZ100 and FN49, then you will love it,  you have to be a true -STRIKER CLUB DAO MEMBER- to love it.

The M2s were selling for pretty cheap around me (between 300 and 400 bucks).

Ya the ffl I shop at has them for $just under $400. I noticed the rotating barrel and that is one of the reasons I am interested. I have had two cougers and it is a very noticable drop in felt recoil with that barrel system. I am thinking about a compact or midsized .45 carry pistol and at $400 you can not beat that.

While I've not shot one, and have only seen one, most of the folks who have shot them considered them just so-so guns.  Not bad, but not stellar, either.

KPIII's review is the first I've seen giving a rave...

I am upset that I overpaid as much as I did, but the weapon is worth it for a DAO striker fired rotating barrel locker.
I would advise anyone to shoot it,  if you are expecting a CZ75 out of it, you will hate it, if you love the CZ100, then you will love it.
