Trigger Springs
« on: March 04, 2018, 05:25:31 PM »
I saw where alot of people suggested to use an Ace Hardware #144 spring instead of the Yodave kit. Would the #144 spring be equal to the weakest or strongest spring in the Yodave kit. I have a Savage Trr-sr that has the accurtrigger and its hard to switch from shooting that and then the CZ 452. Thanks.

If you get the CZ trigger tuned in you should like it as well as the Savage. I have 3 CZ's with triggers under 10 ounces and no creep.

I put the Ace #144 in my 452 American. The Spring is actually a Hillman part# 540431-H. It dropped the pull in the 452 from 2-3/4 lbs to 1-1/4 lbs. My Savage Mark II is at 3/4 lbs (12oz) so that put them pretty close.  Both are set up for bench-rest so, the lighter weight is what I was going for.

The springs I use  are Fastenal 159A through 161A, with 159A being the lightest giving a trigger pull  at around 4-8 ounces.
