Octane direct thread adapter in what ever thread pitch your barrel is either 1/2x28 or m18x1 sico makes both

Got the thread adapter and the extended hand guard on order.  Also ordered 5 Manticore Arms magazines, a yetiworks grip and a factory folding stock. I want to try something's different from the CZC adapter/magpul setup. It works fine just puts my head a little high and it doesn't look natural with the firearm.

I will be running an Omega 9K. Pretty excited about this

How do you keep the tread adapter from unscrewing out of the suppressor and staying on the barrel?  Should the adapter stay on the barrel can you still remove the handguard? Or can you still reach the barrel threads with the guard in place?

You don't.  Either use the piston with spacer, or use a 3 lug system. Or just let the direct thread adapter live on the barrel as a muzzle device.

This will make you have a bad day.  If you want the suppressor to live inside the carbine handguard, use either the fixed barrel spacer or a 3 lug. The direct threads do not come off the barrel as easy as they come off the suppressor.

So you are saying I will need more than the fixed adapter to safely use it? I was planning on leaving this suppressor on like a muzzle device. But it will fall off? Sorry, never used one before this is a first.

I felt like I got ahead of myself so I canceled the order on the extended handguard until I have more info. I thought it would be simple but I can see how it would be a PITA to get things on and off the barrel with the extended guard in place. For now though I am stil planning on the direct thread mound and Omega 9K. Is there anything I'm missing? Or will that allow me to utilize the can properly?

I bought the full hand guard version as well as a silincerCo Omega 9k silencer to go with it. I contacted SilencerCo and they sent me this link to get the adapter to match the end of the barrel to the silencer. I have not bought it yet per waiting for the form 1 to come back for the sbr/silencer paper work.

But from reading this, sounds like I may be in a little bit of trouble if that needs to be threaded on the barrel and then the silencer, getting everything tight may be an issue. Although wondering if you can thread that adapter onto the silencer first, and then onto the barrel and not have any issues. Honestly I do not have everything in front of me, gun, silencer, adapter, and I've never been down this road before, so i guess time will tell.

^^^ yeah I ordered the same adapter today. I'm fine with the factory hand guard as it still looks nice with the shorter suppressor and doesn't add additional weight. I just want the ease of use to be there as well in terms of taking it on and off. But I don't want it falling off while shooting either.

If you attach the suppressor to your barrel (with the direct thread adapter installed), when you go to remove the suppressor, the direct thread adapter will unscrew from your suppressor before it unscrews from the barrel. You could eliminate the issue by gluing the adapter to your can or mechanically locking it to the can somehow, or just never removing the suppressor again.

Like others, I went the DT adapter route and ended up having to use pliers to remove it from the barrel after it would unscrew from the suppressor.

Imagine having to use pliers to get your direct thread adapter off of your barrel when it's ~6" deep in your handguard.  But like I said above, you could just leave the DT adapter on your barrel as a muzzle device.

Would it be possible to cut a slot in the factory handguard so a small spaner wrench could be used? Like in the valley between the pic risers on the rail?
HB industry's hand guard is a free float design. At least you would be able to remove it to gain access to a stuck adapter.

Wonder if a custom thread adapter could be made with a torx bit cut out as part of the bore hole.

not sure, its just plastic, so could be cut to get some thing in there to release it.  Ive just planned on leaving my suppressor on it and just go from there , if i need it off, i can figure some thing out.
On the flip side, wouldnt mind getting another scorpion and doing the HBI hand guard.

You could notch the fixed mount adapter like the flaming pig/kak flash cans.  This will allow you to stick a thick metal ruler down in and turn it like a flat head screw driver.

Just clean up your threads after you make the notches.

That's a much better idea lol. I've been contemplating a similar setup but that was a major hangup.

357 - You'll need a rifle barrel nut socket to install the longer handguard but you'll have a nice setup. The problem isn't getting everything tight. The problem happens when removing the suppressor. Sometimes the barrel adapter will unthread  from the can & stay on the barrel. With it recessed in the handguard it makes it difficult to remove + it'll block the barrel nut so you can't remove the handguard.
