Hello all,
I just completed my first DIY pro-package install kit from CGW on my CZ 75B which I plan to shoot 3 gun with, blue main spring...reach reduction kit, adjustable sear(pretty sure i did this correctly: Manual safety functions as it should), trigger pre and post travel adjusted to awesome and I performed some minor polishing.
So today I brought her to the range to test out and wanted to describe how she functioned to get any input on, if what I experienced was just "break in" of the new springs/hardware or if it could be something else I should look into.
So I placed a full mag in her, Charged the slide to load my first round and cock the hammer, Pulled the trigger...Boom...first round shot...second squeeze of the trigger, I hear the trigger reset occur, but NO BOOM. I then pull the hammer back all the way and squeeze trigger.... next round fires, following trigger squeeze no boom again...but again I am hearing the trigger reset click. This process keeps repeating.
Once I got into my second or 3rd magazine of repeating this process, this issue started to gradually happen less and then disappeared entirely and my CZ shot and functioned as it should. I shot about 60 rounds today and was impressed with how the SA trigger pull seemed/felt amazingly lighter than before the kit install! (I like)
So what do you think? Am I correct to assume that new main spring/hardware needs a certain amount of rounds shot for break in? Ill probably need a hundred more rounds through her to be sure or for good break in???
I also had placed those XS DXT Big round sights on, I am not sure I like them. My POI was a lot higher than my POA shooting from a bench at 10 yards and about 20 yards. I am thinking of taking them off and going with the fully adjustable rear and front night sight? Thinking about it now, if the new upgrade kit needs break in? This could affect accuracy correct?
Thanks,
Chris.
