Shadow 2 - Low Profile Slide Stop?
« on: March 23, 2018, 11:32:40 PM »
Now that CZ has the Shadow 2 and the slide stop is interchangeable with the P-01, will CZ come out with a more low profile (non-extended) slide stop?? At least with the SP-01 you can use the Rami and it works perfectly. It would be extremely nice to have this option. They supply an extended thumb safety but have the lower profile one installed. How about the same option with the slide stop??

Does anyone else have to modify their grip for the slide stop? It's the only issue I have with this pistol.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm looking for this solution too.

Desperately need an ultra low profile option for these guns.

Would that be an "external modification" and not offered from the manufacturer?  re production class rules.

Interesting. I never had any issues with the stock slide stop affecting my grip. I use the common thumbs forward grip and it's never interfered with my grip.

I ended up swapping the whole slide catch out for the Czechmate Slide Stop pin. Makes my offhand thumb joint at the palm MUCH more comfortable.

Yes, I lost all slide lock capability but if I can control recoil better and more comfortably it?s worth it IMO.

Also shaved 7grams (0.25 oz) from the Carry Optics setup!

I had the same issue. I modified (internally) the Rami slide stop to work on the S2. Doesn't always lock back, but I like it. I've never had an RO ask to see my slide stop...

It irritated my thumb joint (where it attaches to the hand) as well. I considered the Czechmate solution, but went with a Rami slidestop instead (modified).

I talked to Matt Hopkins who suggested I try the PCR slide stop.

From pictures it's not as low profile as I would prefer, but I'll probably try one down the road.

Is the Czechmate pin a drop-in part to the Shadow 2, or require modification?

I might try that or grind a RAMI slide stop if it's a pretty straightforward job.

Not low profile enough - try modified Rami.

Drops right in. Costs $9 direct from CZ. I picked up 3 while they were in stock. Perfect fit flush on the left side and normal position on the right.

Only thing is there?s a square hole in the frame after
CZC Bull Shadow 2 - Bronze
CZ Shadow 2 - Black

I also have the same problem. Guess I'll have to start reshaping. My thumb is getting pretty worn out.

Wow, my thread from a year ago and I still dislike the extended slide stop. Here's my recent post from a thread from below. For all of us that dislike this slide stop, how about contacting CZ-USA and tell them we want the new version over here:

There is a thread on another forum talking about the new upcoming Shadow 2 Orange and a European catalog showing a Rami style slide stop available for it over there.

If true, why is it not available over here?? Scroll down to the 10th post by zen-grasshopper
