Anyone familiar with the HK VP70Z.  Have a guy offering one with four 18-round mags for $600, but I am not familiar with these & don't know if that is a good price or if the gun is worth consideration.

There may be others less common, but this design was one of the first common types that used a DAO trigger and high capacity magazines and extensive use of polymer and a number of years before Glock. When the VP70Z was discontinued the prices were about the same price so maybe they have appreciated in value. Fjested's Blue Book of gun values could provide better information. By and large, the pistol was considered an excellent design with one major fault. Trigger pull weight in pounds, ran as high as the magazine capacity in rounds. It was the trigger that killed the design and yet today there are inexpensive DAOs with triggers as heavy and they are selling. It could, one day have collecter value higher than the asking price, but during the late 70's and early 80's, they were not what you could call, "Rare".;)

Further investigation would be worthwile!;)

I am one of the few I know who actually likes the VP70z trigger. Always wanted one, just for grins and giggles...

My Blue Book, which is a year old, shows $400-$450 for a gun is 95% condition.

That price may be high, but extra mags MIGHT make a difference.  (Don't know how hard they are to come by.)

Very heavy trigger, smallish grip, sort of top heavy.  Pass.

Thank you all.  I think I'll let this one pass.  Maybe the next one will be a good deal.
