Pretty sure its good in USPSA ! I shoot both but for "FUN" USPSA is much better in my eyes. IDPA is cool,,but silly rules,,LOL USPSA ya just go and blast away,,more targets more rounds down range, equals more fun ! My 2 cents worth.
USPSA is fine...the S2 was in fact designed specifically to qualify for USPSA Production, as it does not have the 43 oz. cutoff weight that IDPA does (S2 weighting around 46 oz.). Some local or 'Outlaw' IDPA matches may be fine with someone using the S2. I don't mind the IDPA rules so much as it adds another layer of challenges, but yes some can feel a little silly.
I mostly shoot my Sig P226 SAO Legion in ESP for IDPA, and even with that I had to hone down (*cough*I mean, wear down from extreme usage*cough*) the right side safety lever to fit the 1-5/8" max width requirement.
LOL,,yea I hear ya on the Sig,,Hmmmm no one will ever notice !! No one has caught on with my SP-01 Tactical that has the CGW Pro Kit either !!
There is one guy I shoot with that has CZs also but I have never told him either,,LOL Anyways I'm a hack so nothing is gonna help me anyways !!
Yea IDPA rules are Ok,,kinda one of those things that Seemed Like A Good Ideal At The Time,,Ha,Ha. Wearing cover is good and really only 18rds max per stage is kinda ok,,heck most real gun fights are over way before that I'm sure. I still shoot IDPA matches but sometimes they just bug me with some of the silly things !! Bottom line USPSA/IDPA its all shooting/practice/training so it s all good !
