Shadow 2 trigger out of the box

Overall impressed with the trigger out of the box. However pulling the trigger in the SA mode was producing some initial gritty creep, almost like a two-stage trigger before the break. After reading here about ordering a different hammer to eliminate this creep, I tried disassembling the pistol and doing some fine polishing first. This after approximately 300 rounds fired. The sear was polished first, and while this helped smooth the pull, the two stage creep was still there.

Then I disassembled again and lightly polished the hammer hooks, the strut, and under the sear cage. Basically any where there was bare metal after firing the 300 rounds. Some of these areas were already polished from the factory to a degree. OMG what a difference. No creep and a consistent predictable break with the factory OEM hammer. Just curious if others have experienced this creep on their Shadow 2 pistols or was yours perfect out of the box?

I had the same experience like you. I also polished everything using the tutorial. I also installed CGWs ultralie kit using the 11.5# hammer spring, extended firing pin, reduced firing pin spring and reduced trigger return spring. It was a night and day difference from stock. It?s a joy to shoot now.

I had since installed a T1 disconnector courtesy of forum member 441G and the reset is very short and nice. Thanks again 441G.

The only other mod I may do is the 10X bushing. But want to shoot it more as is first.

Seing some videos of folks saying the triggers are perfect out of the box. Also I see the sear has an inspector mark on top. Mine has the number 5 engraved on top indicating some level of hand fitting There obviously is some difference from pistol to pistol.

I was thinking of converting my S2 BACK to its original DA/SA (have it as SAO now).  One of the things I found out when upgrading an SP-01 Tactical was that after installing a competition hammer, the SR FOB lifter and a T3 disconnector, although the rest was shorter it also brought the SA break point farther back in the trigger guard, whereas I preferred the longer 'reach' of where it broke stock.

I found myself in that 'can't have your cake and eat it too' spot.  I attributed this mostly too the new competition hammer which has shorter hooks farther up than the stock hammer, which has that longer 'rolling' break that starts earlier.  So my question is, for those who have put upgraded hammers and/or a T1 disconnect in their Shadow 2 have you noticed a shorter trigger reach for the SA break than stock?  Because that's what I'm trying to avoid, and one of the reasons why I've converted both the Shadow 2 and an SP-01 project to SAO, because the break is farther forward than in stock SA/DA.  When I shot my Shadow 2 SA/DA stock, I didn't mind the SA trigger reach as much but reset was a bit long (even with overtravel adjustment, which had to clear the hammer's half-cock notches), so IO might just go back to that.

Or I might just buy an 85C.

My shadow 2 is beautiful out of box. A little bit heavier than my CGW Pro kit SP-01, but even more smooth than the polish job I did myself on the SP-01. My SP-01 is beautiful.... but the Shadow 2 is like glass. Maybe I got lucky. I've thought about doing the spring swap on the S-2 to lighten it up a hair... but bleep, it really doesn't need it.

And the reset on the S-2 is amazingly short. Much like a tuned Sig SRT.
