SBT805 Brace
« on: July 17, 2018, 08:13:50 PM »
I recently installed a SBT805 Brace onto my Bren pistol and really liked the feel of it. Had a bunch of aftermarket parts coming in so I was waiting to take it to the range with the new brace. I then received a manticore Knurled charging handle and decided to throw it on the pistol. When I went to take it apart, I found that the new rear head that comes with the brace was frozen on the pistol. It won't move at all, even when using the recommended punch to depress the disassembly button far enough.

Has anyone else had this problem with these braces? Im hoping i'm missing something relatively simple because for the time being my Bren is useless to me.

Thanks!

Make sure you have removed the cross pin before trying to remove the brace/rear head.

Same thing happened to me. I finally gave up and used a rubber mallet and flat faced punch and hit the button with some force. It gave way and I was able to slide the brace off. Something is off just enough to cause it to stick.

Yup, that was done. Entire lower was removed from the rifle.

Thats what I ended up doing.
